On Friday, Nov. 29, 200 festive Orcasians turned out for the Fourth Annual Community Dodgeball event. If you’re wondering how much fun 200 people can have throwing balls at each other on a Friday night, the answer is: a lot. We had a great time and raised $1,000 to support programs at the public schools. Thank you to our co-hosts Orcas Island Park and Rec, to dodge master Justin Paulsen for making it all possible, to Orcas Island Market for the generous prize, to Chris Sutton for the wonderful photos, to our Festive Attire Competition judge Ewan Lister, and to all the festive folk who came out. Reigning champion Grayson Howard came on strong for a second consecutive win in the festive attire competition — the holiday force is strong with this one. Grayson, age 6, is shown here holding his prize, a hydro flask and snack basket from Orcas Island Market.
