More people to thank for holiday help | Letter

Isn’t it wonderful when your biggest holiday stressor is having SO many people to thank that you worry about forgetting one? Well, we actually forgot two!

Isn’t it wonderful when your biggest holiday stressor is having SO many people to thank that you worry about forgetting one?

Well, we actually forgot two!

A couple of weeks ago, Orcas Trailblazers submitted an article about our 4H Community Service Project we do in coordination with the Food Bank, providing 98 children with gift-filled stockings.

The process was explained and gratitude was given to many of the people and groups that make this project  possible (thank you again) but we forgot two very important pieces: the Orcas Kiwanis make sure every child gets a handmade wooden car and/or a snuggly stuffed animal. Their contributions are a great addition to some of the more practical items, like the toothbrushes, paste and floss that Dr. Brenda Ivans and Dr. Steve Bailey make sure go in each.

This project is another example of the generosity within our community.  Thank you to all! And one final happy holidays!
