The next meeting of the Orcas Island Camera Club is May 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Betty Lundeen Room of the Senior Center.

The Orcas Island Camera Club welcomes photographers of all types to its monthly meetings. Members’ cameras range from simple point-and-shoot digital cameras to large-format film cameras, and just about everything in-between.

This month’s meeting will include three highlights: a class on macro photography, recent member photos for this month’s theme, which is “floral”, and a display of some tripods and ballheads for different cameras. A few members will also show their photos from an outing to Yellow Island.

As summer draws closer, we’ll also discuss possible outings and make plans for a club picnic.
