Important voting year | Letter

Now that we’re choosing “self-isolation” or “self-quarantine” for health concerns, we’ve been given the needed time to make ourselves more aware of how corrupt and corporate our government has become. Or how compassionate and caring, if we find that to be true.

This year will definitely go into our future history books on how the world reacted to this health emergency. This is also an election year where we supposedly decide who will become our next President along with those we trust to be the peoples’ voice in congress. In 2016, nearly 80% of the Democratic voters in Washington trusted Bernie Sanders to become their president and everyone in our district and the state we trusted with our voice in this government that held the position of “Super Delegate” chose to ignore the voices of their constituents.

Congressman Rick Larsen was one of those who lost my trust and ignored our voice and also cheered on the corporate trade bill the TPP. He is up for re-election. And this year as a voter I’ve found a more reliable and trustworthy voice with Jason Call. So if this year is for sure an already historical one and we can’t get in the front door with Bernie, please type into your computer “Jason Call for Congress and make your choice a more conscious one. Two decades is how long we’ve had Rick Larsen in what many see as a corporate bipartisan government with Rick as what I see as a corporate spokesperson, and in my opinion, we need to retire those corporate voices! As a voter, when you think we need to get a better option it’s our obligation and duty to share those options!
