Mikaela Suzanne Hansen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in human services from Western Washington University with a 3.7 GPA. She will be pursuing a master’s degree in the fall. Her family says a big thank you to the community, mentors, teachers and organizations that have helped her over the years to achieve her dreams. A special thank you to the American Legion, Odd Fellows, Orcas Island Education Foundation, Orcas Island Lions Club, Orcas Educational Association, the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, Marilyn Anderson, the San Juan Masonic Lodge, the Funhouse Commons and the Hengison Family.
