Orcas Vikings sports seasons start

Boys soccer

The boys Vikings soccer team won its first two away games of the season.

Orcas beat Cedar Park Christian 9-1 on Friday, Sept. 7. The following Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Vikings competed against Mount Vernon Christian, winning 2-1.

The team played its first home game against Lopez at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The Vikings will travel to La Conner this Friday, Sept. 21. The next home game will be on Tuesday, Sept. 25 against Providence Classical Christian at 3 p.m.

Girls soccer

Orcas Lady Vikings soccer lost its first away game to Mount Vernon Christian 1-3 on Thursday, Sept. 6.

The girls then played Friday Harbor at home on Tuesday, Sept. 11, losing 0-5.

This last weekend, the Lady Vikings played Sultan at home on Saturday, Sept. 15, losing 2-4.

The soccer team traveled to La Conner for a game on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and their next home game is against Mount Vernon Christian at 4 p.m. on Monday. Sept. 24.

Volleyball

The Lady Vikings volleyball team lost its first game to the Sultan Turks, a 1A team, on Saturday, Sept. 15. The score was 0-3.

The next home game will be against Concrete at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.
