Softball team to raise $$ for tourney | Sports

Men’s slowpitch softball team Sandlot – comprised of current and former Orcas Islanders with the help of two mainland friends – recently won two championships, in their division, at National Softball Association tournaments held in Mt. Vernon and Bellingham.

They now have an opportunity to attend a huge (more than 200 teams) tournament being held in Anaconda, Mont. on July 13-15. In an effort to raise funds for the trip’s expenses, there will be a garage sale on Saturday,  June 30 at James and Renee Segault’s home, 14 Miguel Lane, in View Haven, starting at 10 a.m.
