Kaden places second at state meet

Orcas Islander Jacob Kaden, age 9, won a second place victory for both the 200 meter and 400 meter dash in the age 9 to 10 division at the Hershey Track and Field District Meet in Burlington, Washington on May 30.

As one of the finalists, Kaden will complete at the Washington State Finals in Olympia on June 27.

State meet winners are eligible to be entered in a regional pool from which selected runners are chosen for placement on a Regional Team to travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania to compete in the National Finals.
