The Friends of the Orcas Island Library warmly invite community members of all ages to the beloved Annual Library Fair Summer Book Sale on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Orcas Island Library parking lot, located at 500 Rose Street.
This fun-filled community event offers something for everyone! Browse thousands of books and media at bargain prices, enjoy live music by talented local performers, and don’t miss the ever-popular Rubber Ducky Race, with proceeds supporting the Ken Gibbs Memorial Endowment, which funds science-related resources for the library.
Book sale pricing: paperbacks, $1; hardcovers, $2; beginner readers, $0.50; DVDs, $1; specialty collector books, $5 and up.
All proceeds from the book sale help fund vital library programs and services.
Show your library pride! Orcas Library merchandise will also be available, including stickers, hats, mugs and tote bags — perfect for gifts or personal use.
Volunteers needed: FOIL is looking for community volunteers to assist with setup and cleanup. If you can lift boxes (approximately 50 pounds) and want to support this great cause, please reach out to schedule a time to help.
Don’t miss this cherished island tradition! Come discover your next great read, enjoy a day of festivities and support your local library. We look forward to seeing you at the Library Fair Summer Book Sale!
