Asleep at the Wheel – Live on the Village Green!

Ten-time Grammy™ Award-winning musicians, Asleep at the Wheel will perform live on the Village Green on Thursday, July 14 at 7 p.m. as part of the FREE Summer Concert Series presented by Orcas Center, OrcaSong Farm, Country Corner and San Juan County.
Founded in 1970, Asleep at the Wheel has been part of the American roots music landscape for over 50 years. Although the band got its start on a farm in Paw Paw, West Virginia, Asleep at the Wheel became a cornerstone of the Austin, Texas scene upon its arrival in 1973. Inspired by Western swing and honky-tonk country, the band has released over 20 albums, charted more than 21 singles on the Billboard country charts, and has accrued 10 Grammy Awards. Orcas Center’s Summer Concert Series on the Village Green is FREE thanks to donations from local businesses such as Banner Bank and the Ginny Lu Wood Blue Marble Legacy fund through Orcas Island Community Foundation.
