Small town comfort | Letter

As sometimes happens when we get older, I misplaced a note from a friend in Florida that happened to contain a small gift of cash. I looked everywhere; nothing. Then, yesterday in the mail, an envelope addressed to me with the same return address as the Florida friend and inside, the original note in its envelope — with the cash. And a note from Dave saying he “found it outside the [American] Legion driveway.”

Thank you, Dave, for a lovely and heartwarming act of kindness and another reason to love this place.
