April’s Grove campaign continues

The Orcas Island Community Foundation’s Field Day on June 29 was the kick-off event for GiveOrcas April’s Grove Edition campaign, which runs June 29-July 8. They had 10 teams participate; each generously donated $1,000 to the campaign, which was matched 1:1. In addition, $1689 was donated online at Field Day. The teams were:

• Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce.

• Orcas Island Realty.

• Windemere Real Estate.

• Island Market.

• Orcas Island Fire & Rescue.

• T Williams Realty.

• Orcas Food Coop.

• Emanuel Episcopal Church.

• Orcas Community Church.

• Orcas Island Community Foundation.

Congratulations to the game winners: Orcas Food Coop (1st), Emanuel Parish Hall (2nd), and Orcas Community Church (3rd).

OICF has two campaign games with great matching power thanks to anonymous donors:

July 2, is Ben Franklin Day, where every donation of $100 or more will be matched 1:1 ($40,000 max)

Friday, July 5, is Unique Donor Day, where we’ll add $10,000 for every 50 donors.
