Intensity was high in the Turnbull Gym on the Dec. 21 back to back basketball games featuring island rivals Orcas Island Vikings and the Friday Harbor Wolverines.
The Wolverines boys kept a lead on the Vikings throughout the game and won 70-49. The girls team beat the Vikings 51-25.
The Vikings play Darrington on Jan. 4 during away games. The girls play at 4:30 and the boys hit the courts at 6 p.m.
The next home games are Tuesday, Jan. 8 against La Conner. Boys are at 3:30 p.m. and the girls play at 5 p.m.
