Paul Roberts reads at Darvill’s

Darvill’s Bookstore will host a book talk and signing on Weds., Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. with Paul Roberts, author of “The Impulse Society.”

The talk will be at the Emmanuel Parish Hall from 6 to 7 p.m. with a reception immediately following at Darvill’s Bookstore.

At the heart of “The Impulse Society” is an urgent, powerful story: how the pursuit of short-term self-gratification, once scorned as a sign of personal weakness, became the default principle not only for individuals, but for all sectors of our society.
