Hughes for council | Letter

I am writing to offer my wholehearted support for Rick Hughes for county council.

I have known Rick since he married his wife, Marlace. Rick has quietly shown an amazing support for our community, and I think that needs to be told. His common sense approach and open communications with county departments will serve the taxpayers well.

When all the flags were stolen from the cemetery on Memorial Day several years ago the veterans were devastated. Rick replaced them all!

Rick has contributed heavily to the Skateboard Park, where the kids have a place to play after school hours. Rick and his wife organize and run the Roller Skate Night which runs for 26 weeks a year. Rick is also the PTSA president. Rick also makes regular donations to the food bank, and he is instrumental bringing local eggs to the food bank. He helps with the Farm to Cafeteria program.

As you can see, he really cares for our community and its future and has a positive attitude. He is how I would like to see our community thrive together.
