20th annual ‘Wildlife 100’ tour of the San Juans

On Sunday, Aug. 14, Wildlife Cycles will host its 20th annual Wildlife 100 tour of the San Juan Islands.

The 100-mile tour will start at Wildlife Cycles at 6 a.m., but anyone is welcome to join the group at any point on the route. The route includes 32 miles on Orcas, 35 miles on Lopez and 33 miles on San Juan. Click here to download a PDF of the route.

Schedule

6 am: Meet at Wildlife Cycles

9:20 a.m.: Catch ferry from Orcas to Lopez, arrive Lopez 9:55 a.m.

1:05 p.m.: Catch ferry from Lopez to San Juan, arrive around 1:55 p.m.

5:40 p.m: Catch ferry from Friday Harbor to Orcas, arrive around 6:55 p.m.

A $10 per person suggested donation goes to support recreational activities for youth, teens, adults, and families on Orcas Island.

“[Recreation programming on Orcas] is currently not receiving any money from the county, so your support is very important to keep these popular programs running,” said organizer Jill Sherman. “Please join us!”
