Thank you for supporting Point Blank student club | Letter

Unfortunately, Point Blank did not win the $10,000, nor did we win the $5,000, but we did reach our goal thanks to the help of so many in our community.  We did, however, take home a beautiful plaque for the Collaboration and Partnership Award at the 2011 Spring Youth Forum. This plaque came with a lime green basket filled with M&M’s, pretzels and a $125 Visa card, which we will use for our celebration picnic in June.

Point Blanks’ goal was to create a video providing a powerful message that would continue to educate our teens and community members, over the years to come. This video was on the deadly impact of distracted driving and was titled “Don’t drive while inTXTicated.” Thanks to the support and collaboration of Rich Harvey and the Orcas Firefighters Association, local law enforcement, Orcas Towing and the outstanding filming and editing of Bennett Video Productions, Point Blank created a powerful video that we will proudly add to our ever growing collection of educational tools.
