Homeschool book exchange June 3 at Orcas library

Orcas Island’s homeschooling families will host a Homeschool Book Exchange on Friday, June 3 at the public library, from 10 a.m. to noon.
“This event supports homeschooling families in two ways,” said organizer Michel Vekved. “You might say it’s a talk and swap. First, it’s a great way to share curriculum that you no longer need, and it’s a great way to find curriculum for next year. It also provides an opportunity to meet other families who homeschool and share your wisdom, refine your vision or share those teachable moments.”
Gently used curriculum, reading or other books may be donated that day at 9:30 a.m. Families wishing to exchange materials can stay and swap. All books left behind at noon will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
