Junior Vikings learn the fundamentals of basketball

Orcas girls in the 4th and 5th grade have been enjoying the program Junior Vikings, where they’ve been learning the basics of basketball.

The program emphasizes fundamental skills development, sportsmanship, game strategies, and will culminate with a basketball tournament in March.

The Junior Vikings are coached by Carol Rost (former player at University of Washington) and Tim Hance. Orcas Island Recreation Program is sponsoring the program.
