I am writing to endorse Steve Brandli for the position of District Court Judge. Having practiced law in San Juan County for more than 12 years, he is well known as an outstanding lawyer in our community. His knowledge of the law and judicial system is paramount for this position, but his compassion, honesty, and humanity are equally important and in my mind make him an outstanding candidate to be our next district court judge.

In addition to his practice of law, Steve invests in the well being of our community through his volunteer work. He’s always willing to roll up his sleeves and pitch in when needed. Last week, Steve and his wife BJ volunteered for the San Juan Public Schools Foundation’s Phone-A-Thon. They joined student callers and other volunteers from the community calling on islanders to support our public schools. He’s president of the San Juan Lions Club and volunteers for Island Rec and Friday Harbor High School. Steve and BJ are also involved and committed to foster parenting.

Steve’s strength of character and commitment to our community make me proud to vote for him for district court judge.
