Orcas volleyball loseses BRIEFS

The Lady Vikings went down in defeat to La Conner last Thursday in three out of three games. Coach Greg Sasan said, “La Conner just had too many weapons to use against us.. My team showed tremendous spirit though the scores do not reflect their passion for the game.”

The Orcas voleyball team hopes to play at district in the coming weeks and must tie with Shoreline in order to do so. They played Mt. Vernon Christian on Tuesday, Oct. 28, then will play Shoreline on Oct. 30.

Lobos football team defeated

The Lopez football team fell to Highland Christian 30-36, dragged down by penalties, at their game on Oct. 25.

Their next game will be against Crescent High School on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.

Vikings lose on gridiron

The Orcas Vikings were defeated 35-6 by tConcrete on Saturday, Oct. 25. Coach Dennis Dahl said, “We stayed with the game and the guys never lost focus, but.. we had trouble with Concrete’s speed.”

The Vikings next game will be against Darrington at home on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m.
