Submitted by Martin Lund, Orcas Island Jazz Festival.

Just like Christmas, Mom said, “you’ll have to wait.” But don’t – don’t wait. It’s coming to you – the best in live JAZZ right here on Orcas. It’s gonna be great and it’s gonna be live! Three unique combos, one night after another, over Labor Day weekend, September 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

On Friday evening, we’re bringing back one of the top groups nationwide playing Gypsy Jazz, Pearl Django. They swing hard and you’ll throb to the tempo.

Do you know that lingo, “He’s really BAD!” meaning just the opposite? Well, we’ve got “BAD” Saturday night. Pedal to the metal and hold on. Bad, bad Pete Kirkland & Band hit us with the best of Motown, Soul and RnB, horn section et al. Grab on!

Sunday evening – “An affair to remember.” The legendary Maestro Martin Lund headlining the Off-Island All-Stars – Best in the Northwest with award winning vocalist Gail Pettis and on trumpet, the incomparable “Ollie” Groenewald.

How can you miss? Come one, come all.

Get on board for a FULL TRIP! YOU’LL LOVE IT.

The Orcas Island Jazz Festival run September 2-4. Tickets range from $25-57 and are on sale now at www.OrcasCenter.org.
