We’ve hatched a Pea Patch match | Letter

The Orcas Island Community Foundation is launching a match campaign to get us over the finish line for purchasing the Pea Patch property, the 11-acre parcel off of Pea Patch Lane and Enchanted Forest. This property will be the future home of a community campus featuring the Orcas Island Food Bank, the Orcas Community Resource Center, and a neighborhood of affordable rentals provided by OPAL Community Land Trust.

An anonymous community member and the Board of OICF have committed matching funds and all new donations to the project will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250,000. If you give $10, it is matched with $10. If you give $10,000 it is matched with $10,000.

Donations can be made online through Giveorcas.org, mailed to PO Box 1496, Eastsound, WA 98245, or dropped off at the OICF Office, 33 Urner St #4. Please call OICF directly at 360-376-6423 if you are interested in making stock donations. The match campaign will remain open until the full $250,000 is matched. If you are interested in learning more about this project or signing up for a walking tour, please contact OICF at 360-376-6423.

Thank you in advance for investing in the community!
