Eastsound Water services more than 1,300 people here on Orcas Island. That is a ton of water and a serious amount of responsibility. To ensure the water they provide is safe to drink, EWUA must heavily chlorinate the water provided. Chlorine, even in small amounts, is not good to ingest and can be harmful if repeatedly consumed day in and day out. To mitigate the risk of chlorine ingestion to our families and friends, a simple water filtration system is strongly encouraged in your home for both consumption and bathing.
