After a magical summer of private performances across Orcas Island, professional magician Henry ‘Oz is bringing his unique blend of comedy and illusion to the Sea View Theatre stage on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.

Known locally as “The German Magician,” Henry has been a fixture at island weddings, birthday celebrations, Christmas parades, and private and business events throughout 2024 and 2025. His upcoming show marks his first public performance at Sea View Theatre, offering islanders a chance to experience the entertainment that has delighted private audiences all summer.

“People kept stopping me on the street asking where they could buy tickets to see me perform,” ‘Oz said. “I decided it was time for a show accessible to everyone in our community.”

The 45-minute show promises audience interaction, laughter, and carefully selected illusions from ‘Oz’s international career. Attendees can expect classic magic, comedy integration, and what he describes as “the best moments happen when the audience becomes part of the magic.”

With over 50 professional performances annually and experience performing in both Germany and the United States, ‘Oz brings a European flair to his American audiences. His German accent and self-deprecating humor have become signature elements of his shows.

Looking ahead, ‘Oz is planning something special for January 2026: magic courses for children and teenagers.

“A parent at a birthday party asked if I teach,” he said with a laugh. “Since then, the idea has been growing like an uncontrollable weed in the garden of my mind.”
