After a long two years of being closed due to the pandemic, the Sea View Theatre will re-open its doors and welcome back eager film lovers. “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” will be the opening film on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m.

As difficult as the past two years were for the theatre, the time was used to regroup and hopefully come back stronger. Some new changes came about because of the pandemic. One is online/ contactless ticket sales. You can now buy tickets online, in advance for all movies. You can still buy tickets at the door if you’d like; just show up. As the theatre reopens, the management remains committed to the safety of its patrons and employees. As restrictions have eased, proof of vaccine is no longer required but out of an abundance of caution, masks are still required unless actively eating or drinking.

Pedro Lopez De Victoria has stepped in to manage the theatre operations. He has a business degree with experience managing a movie theatre. He loves the nostalgic charm of the Sea View theatre and wants to help the business grow.

Ticket prices have increased a bit to help keep the doors open and they hope the community will support the theatre in this small way. Sea View Theatre’s owner Ingrid McClinton is thrilled to get the theatre back open and grateful for all of the community’s support and patience as they navigate this unprecedented time.

The Sea View Theatre has been a rare survivor in the world of mom and pop cinemas since 1960. Advance Tickets are at http://www.seaviewtheatreorcas.com.
