Island students make college honor roll

Whitman College
Devon Mann and Aliza Anderson-Diepenbrock of Orcas earned academic distinction for the most recent semester at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. This recognition is given to students who have completed a minimum of 12 credits, passed all credits attempted, and have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on no fewer than nine graded credits during the semester.
Gonzaga University
Anthony William Kaskurs and Dana Corrine Sabine of Orcas earned placement on the Gonzaga University Dean’s List for fall semester 2019. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed. Gonzaga is in Spokane, Washington.
Spokane Falls Community College
Emma Minnis of Orcas Island has made the honor roll at Spokane Falls Community College for fall quarter 2019. She was one of 1,934 students to earn a place on the academic honor roll.
