Benefit concert at the Orcas Center, Oct. 19

Orcas Island singer Malia Michelle and Britnee Kellogg, a former American Idol contestant and a recent opening act for country singer Blake Shelton, will perform a benefit concert for Orcas Center and the Music Advocacy Group as well as medical expenses for the Erazo family.

The concert will be from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at Orcas Center; tickets start at $15 at www.orcascenter.org. Children in grades K-12 are welcomed to attend a free vocal training session with the performers from 5-6 p.m. before the concert. It’s a time to ask questions or learn and sing a song.
