Orcas football: Six named as all-league players

All-league selections for the 2011 football season have been unveiled.

On offense, Robbie Padbury was chosen as Most Valuable Player; Devon Stanzione was named for first team; Jake Zier and Mikail Van Maren for second team; and Aubrey Schermerhorn received honorable mention.

On defense, Padbury, Stanzione and Zier were chosen for first team; Schermerhorn was named to second team; and Van Maren and Joey Susol received honorable mention.

“Well done to all the boys selected,” wrote coach Scott Harris to his team. “It is very difficult to be named to an all-league teams and you should be very proud of yourselves.”
