Chamber honors islanders at annual meeting

At the Orcas Chamber’s annual meeting at Rosario’s Discovery House, Orcas business owners mingled, ate and honored one another.
The audience heard from the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau and representatives from the Washington Business Week camp for teens.
Chamber director Lance Evans and board president Michell Marshall honored past board member Elyse Van den Bosch for her years of service. They also presented Cindy Morgan, owner of the Nest, with a “customer service” award, Janet Brownell (pictured below) with the “community service” award and Tom Averna of Deer Harbor Charters with “environmental excellence” recognition.
