Orcas Center is delighted to announce a special performance featuring Isabeau Waia’u Walker and Lilo Sanchez on Sunday, July 27, at 5 p.m. on the Village Green. This free event is part of the Summer Concert Series event presented by Orcas Center, Doe Bay Resort, GiveOrcas/Orcas Island Community Foundation and San Juan County, as well as many business and individual donors!

Isabeau Waia’u Walker is a Hawaiian-born, Oregon-based artist known for her unique blend of genres, which she describes as “bright gloom” and “joy adjacent.” Her music delves into themes of love, community, identity and resilience. Since retiring from a full-time teaching career in 2019, Walker has focused on her music, releasing her EP “Better Metric” in 2020 and her debut LP “Body” in 2022. Her work has garnered attention from various publications and platforms, including OPB, Live Wire Radio and KEXP.

Lilo Sanchez is a Panamanian singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. He is best known for his work with the alternative rock band Señor Loop and has collaborated with artists such as Ruben Blades, Lido Pimienta and Y La Bamba. Sanchez’s solo work blends rock, jazz, reggae, blues and R&B with a distinctive Latin flavor. His recent releases, including “Cabin Fever” and “Reporte del Tiempo,” showcase his versatility and depth as an artist.
