Park and rec presents Kings football

Orcas Park and Rec is offering another year of Kings tackle football. The 2017 season will begin with practices starting July 31. League play for ages six through 14 are divided as Pee Wees, ages 6 to 8; midgets, ages 9-10; juniors, ages 11-12; and seniors, ages 13-14. Orcas Island teams will participate in games against mainland and island teams in the NCYFL from Aug. 26 through Oct. 21. Registration is open to co-ed players and must completed by July 1.
Orcas Park and Rec offers feeder programs to the Orcas Island public and private school athletic programs and is pleased to continue another year of this youth football experience, which teaches safe and controlled play, the rules of the game, and builds on the valuable foundation of sportsmanship and teamwork.
Contributions to support player scholarships and the purchase of safety equipment are being accepted.
