Kate Geddes art exhibit

Sir Francis Bacon said, “Painting is the pattern of one’s own nervous system being projected on canvas.” Kate Geddes, a resident of California and Orcas, chose this 1945 Francis Bacon quote to express her process of painting images that are reflections of her inner life experience of the external world’s impact. Geddes is showing her work in “Monkeys, Martyrs and Mummies,” at Susan Mustard’s gallery in Eastsound (gray building across from the entrance to the library). Opening is June 11 from 2–6 p.m. and the show is June 12-June 30 by appointment, 415-755-3303. Gallery ours are Fri-Sun, 12–5 p.m.
