Reject Referendum 74 concerning same sex marriage | Letter

I am voting to REJECT Referendum 74 concerning same sex marriage. The passing of this law would not change anyone’s civil rights in our state since same-sex couples ALREADY enjoy all the same rights and benefits as married couples under the domestic partnerships, “Everything But Marriage,” law from 2009.
This is just another way for same sex couples to “be” something that they are not. Marriage comes from the bible and was God’s idea. He said a man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home and the two shall become one flesh. This does not include two people of the same sex. I believe all people should have equal taxation, equal rights to live with whoever they want to, the right to have a domestic partnership but not call it marriage. It is holy and it is reserved for the joining of one man and one woman.
