Freshly back from a successful Mid-west tour, local dulcimer/multi-instrumentalist songstress Carolyn Cruso will play on the OffCenter Stage at the Orcas Center on Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Cruso weaves a web with her lyrical hammered dulcimer compositions, intricate guitar playing, and poetic writing. She’s joined by the versatile world percussionist TJ Morris for this performance.

Cruso has been playing music for most of her life and is largely inspired by her travels both in the US and Europe, as well as by her deep connection to nature, and keen interest in the stories of people she meets out on the road – traveling minstrels, seekers, divine misfits.  Wielding two guitars, a flute, a hammered dulcimer and her voice, Cruso roams the back roads of the country, taking the listener on a journey of beauty, love, redemption, compassion and humor with her music.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased on the website or by calling 376-ACT1 or visiting the Orcas Center box office during box office hours which are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.orcascenter.org.
