Science fair crowns grand prize winners

This year’s Funhouse Science Fair asked kids to “Show Us How It Works” with just about anything: headphones, radios, matches, glasses, soap – and the overall winner was a catapult. The “Rocket Ship of Wonder” winners were Aiden McGregor, Cody Johnson, Gywdion Marreth, and Kai McGregor. They built the giant trebuchet in the field next to The Funhouse, as pictured below.

The high school scholarship awards were given to ninth grader Aidan Anderson (third place, $350 scholarship ), ninth grader Brigid Ehrmantraut (second place, $650 scholarship), and 11th grader Christopher Ghazel (first, $1000 scholarship). Ghazel is pictured below.
