Fire department finds ‘nothing’ in explosion call

An Eastsound resident heard noise that sounded like an explosion, but emergency responders found nothing suspicious.

Orcas Fire and Rescue responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. on March 23 near Orion Lane. Captain Maxx Jones, public safety and education officer, said they “found nothing” to indicate an explosion had occurred.
