Wildfire education to be theme of day camp for middle schoolers

Cam Orkila introduces theme day camp for middle schoolers

Kids who are going into sixth through eighth grades and will be on Orcas Island between July 14 – 25 are in for a treat.

Camp Orkila, WSU Master Gardeners and Firewise Communities are sponsoring FireCamp – a day camp all about wildfire just for them. Filled with activities about fire ecology, preparation for wildfire, fire experiments and a field trip to Sucia Island and an overnight at Moran State Park, this is an event not to be missed.
