Adam David Shaefer, 27, Deer Harbor, died Saturday Oct. 20, 2012.

He was born and raised until the age of two in Columbus, Ohio, when the family moved to Orcas Island. He graduated from Orcas Christian School in 2004. Adam was a skilled laborer, golfer, and chef. He was loved, and will be missed, by many.

Adam was preceded in death by his father Steve Shaefer; his mother Denise Stanton; his grandparents Harry and Virginia Shaefer and Donald and Esther Pargeon.

He is survived by his step-father Roy Stanton; his brothers Daniel and Derrick Shaefer; his sister Cetacea Stanton; his nephews Hatch and Hayden Shaefer, and his niece Ivy Shaefer.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Orcas Island Adventist Fellowship on the campus of the Orcas Christian School campus on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow.
