The Orcas Island Library was burglarized on Friday, Dec. 16 around 11:45 p.m. An unknown subject stole $20 from a donation jar and a GoPro video camera.

Surveillance cameras were unable to give a clear view of the suspect. According to San Juan County Sheriff Ron Krebs there are no leads at this time but deputies are actively investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 378-4151.

The library posted on its Facebook page: “Please help us recover our GoPro. If you suspect anyone selling a used GoPro, please report it to the sheriff. We probably won’t see the cash again, but it would be nice to get the GoPro back.”
