Joe Cohen of the Orcas Island Community Foundation will discuss the importance of “securing the financial future of your non-profit organization through planning giving and endowment” on Friday, Feb. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall.

Despite the current economic challenges, organizers say that now is the time for leadership in the non-profit world – serving and informing donors as to how planned giving tools may benefit their communities.

The event is open to all staff, trustees, volunteers, and community members.
