Thousands of books flew off the tables into customer boxes at the Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale last Saturday. The fair raised $3,025 for library projects. Sale Organizer Ulannah McCoy, Library Director Phil Heikkinen and many volunteers and board members bought books as well.

“I meant to buy zero books this year and I ended up with about 50,” said Library Board President John Ashenhurst. “The reason I can get away with this is my wife is away. But, she reads the Sounder very carefully, she reads every word, so she will probably find out.”

Board members attended the sale to pass out information about a possible library expansion and to answer questions.
