Orcas Lions Club’s Annual Run For The Grub shopping raffle was held April 22 at Island Market. Local Kelly O’Brien was the winner of $1,000 in groceries provided by our generous sponsors.

This is a popular raffle and is one of the longest running fundraisers for the Orcas Lions Club.

Patterned on a television show of the 60’s, O’Brien was allowed five minutes to run through the isles of Island Market collecting up to $1,000 worth of groceries. The proceeds from the raffle help to support both Camp Horizon, a Lions summer camp for profoundly disabled teens and adults, and the annual Orcas Island visit of the Health Screening Van.

Thanks to all the generous supporters and contributors to this event.
