The menu for the meal on Wednesday, Aug. 10 includes locally grown green salad, fresh corn soup, roasted chicken and vegetables over polenta and served with a mushroom sauce and peach cobbler with whipped cream for dessert.

The  four-course meal will be served by the members of the 4-H club and is $5 for seniors, $10 adults and $5 for kids.

“It is a great deal and a great way to meet people in the community,” say organizers.

Dinner is served from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the Orcas Senior center.

The club is currently gearing up for the San Juan County fair, which runs Aug. 17 to 20. Club projects are poultry, rabbit, cavy, dog, photography, crafts, and baking.
