Friends of Moran annual park clean up on April 3

The Friends of Moran annual park clean-up will be on Saturday, April 3 from 10 to 4 p.m.

Volunteers should meet at the park shelter behind the new Kokanee Fish Hatchery Building at 10 a.m. for coffee and morning treats. Rangers will provide instructions and tools, but everyone is encouraged to bring gloves, rakes, and shovels.

Lunch will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the big day use shelter with a crackling fire and a lively lecture led by Russel Barsh, who will illuminate Moran wildflowers and Cascade lake geology. The Key Club will be on site to lend a hand.

Free hats or shirts will be given to the first 20 individuals who sign up, work hard, get dirty, and have a great time. Visit the Friends online (www.friendsofmoran.com), find a hidden question, be the first to bring the answer, and receive a Friends windbreaker from the Summit Shop.
