Character building for kids

Orcas Island Elementary

Orcas Island Elementary students are working this year on character building.

We have chosen a character trait for each month we are in school.  Mini lessons, books and discussions are based on each word during the month.

November is “Citizenship” and we would like to thank the many citizens who give to our community.

We will be making a “thank you tree” to be displayed in different key places in our community. Look for these special trees with thanks to our citizens for all their good work on Orcas Island.

This time of year is opportune to thank and appreciate those people who give their time, energy and support to those in need.
