Calling all young actors to audition for “A Christmas Carol”

Children and young adults interested in trying out for the upcoming “A Christmas Carol” production are invited to Orcas Center on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Offcenter (second lobby past the main lobby doors).

The audition schedule is as follows:

2 p.m.: Cratchit kids (must sing, too): Tiny Tim (role can be played by ages four to eight), Little Jimmy (ages six to 10), Little Anne (ages seven to 12), Belinda (ages 10 to 16), Peter (ages 13 to 18), and Marta (ages 16-23).

2:45 p.m.: Boy Scrooge (ages five to nine), Little Fan (ages four to seven) – these two roles are short and have no speaking lines – Young Scrooge (ages 16 to 25) and his pal, Dick Wilkins (also ages 16 to 25).

3:15 p.m.: Ghost of Christmas Past (ages eight to 18), boy or girl (heavy line load).

For children under nine, parents will need to be in attendance throughout rehearsals and performances.

“A Christmas Carol” will be performed Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 16 to 19. Don’t miss this grand, heartwarming adaptation of a timeless classic featuring some of Orcas Island’s favorite performers and a cast and crew of over 80 people.
