Orcas School Superintendent Barbara Kline has announced she will be retiring at the end of this school year.

“For some time, I have known that I would be retiring either in June of 2014 or June of 2015,” she wrote in a press release. “In the summer, I decided that June of 2014 was the better choice. Since then, I have been walking around looking at the decision from various angles. It appears to be the right decision for both the district and me.”
