The first pottery class of this school year was held in Mathew Chasanoff’s first grade classroom at the Orcas Elementary.

Each year Orcas Open Arts sponsors “Artists in the Schools,” a program that brings local artists into elementary classrooms for a series of workshops in the visual arts.

This year will include classes taught by Penny Sharp Sky, Ellen Wherrette, Sadie Bailey, Andrea Cohen and Marguerite Greening.
