Writer’s Roundtable at Orcas Library to feature play writing

Sandy Thompson will lead this month's Writer's Roundtable on Saturday, March 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the library. The session is entitled "Let's Make a Scene." Organizers say it will be fun and functional for any writer – with or without an interest in scripts. Thompson is a local writer, actor, and director who, with Doug Bechtel, co-created Orcas Island's annual Ten-Minute Playfest. At the roundtable, attendees will walk through the process of setting up a scene, play with writing some lines/action, and see how the framework of staging can help with any kind of writing.
